Istanbul Grill & Meze celebrates the rich culinary traditions of Turkey with grilled meats, mezze platters, and sweet baklava. Since opening in 2017, we've brought the flavors and hospitality of Turkish cuisine to Kalmar with authentic recipes and traditional cooking methods. The menu starts with mezze - small plates perfect for sharing like hummus, baba ghanoush, stuffed grape leaves, and sigara böreği. Our grill specializes in Adana kebab with spicy ground lamb, şiş kebab with tender beef, and beyti kebab wrapped in lavash. The mixed grill platter is perfect for groups wanting to sample everything. We use a traditional mangal (charcoal grill) that gives the meat its distinctive smoky flavor. The lamb şiş is marinated for 24 hours in our secret blend of yogurt and spices. Side dishes include pilav, bulgur, and fresh Turkish salads. The interior features Turkish lanterns, colorful tiles, and cushioned seating that creates an Istanbul atmosphere. Don't leave without trying our baklava, made with layers of phyllo dough, pistachios, and honey syrup. Turkish tea and coffee are served in traditional glasses. The generous portions and warm hospitality make every meal feel like a feast.
